Has Ice Cube ever been to Cleveland?

UPDATE: Just heard Movie is shooting in Los Angeles. While we are not surprised given the subject matter, if Mr. Cube wants any realism, he should at least talk to the Clevleand Police Department. Of course the plot is underwraps, but there was a movie already named “Excessive Force” about corrupt cops in 1993.

MISTER CUBE NEEDS TO COME TO CLEVELAND OR TALK TO US BEFORE PAINTING OUR POLICE DEPARTMENT AS RACIST AND CORRUPT.

We guess Ice Cube and Director Carl Franklin are  experts on Cleveland since this Fall they are planning to shoot a movie here called “Excessive Force” about the Cleveland Police.

Yes, I know we have issues here but it’s also interesting to be singled out by these guys who as far as we know has no connection to our city. I’m working on a show featuring police. While it is set in an alternative world, I’ve learned a lot from the real police here and try to present both sides.

It is also interesting to see if Mr. Cube plans to shoot here . I doubt the police will want anything to do with this movie but of course they are always hired to help on movie sets.

Still Ice has gotten a lot of national press on this movie which is supposed to shoot in the Fall.

Any ideal if they have contacted the Cleveland Film Commission or the Cleveland Police Department about shooting here?

I’d love to be involved and see how he pitches a movie about a racist corrupt police force and then ask the city and police to help with it.

ALTHOUGH THE CLEVELAND POLICE DEPARTMENT DOES NOT ENDORSE PRELUDE2CINEMA OR OUR TV SERIES “OUT OF DARKNESS; CLEVELAND,” WE HAVE  MET WITH THE CHIEF OF POLICE AND PUBLIC RELATIONS SERGEANT TO LET THEM KNOW ABOUT OUT TV SERIES “OUT OF DARKNESS: CLEVELAND.”

We also have an upcoming shoot/ event for our TV series that will help real vicitms of sexual abuse with a donation.

We doubt Mr. Cube or Mr. Franklin will be doing anything to help the city of Clevleand, and we doubt they will be shooting here.

Ice Cube Movie on Cleveland Police Sounds Familiar

Prelude2Cinema is shooting “Out of Darkness: Cleveland” set in a fictional Cleveland which deals with excessive force. Ours is based on our TV show which aired nationally. The new story begins “In 2016, Joseph Franks became the President of the United States of America. He instituted the F.O.R.C.E. Act as part of an effort to end corruption within police departments; however, it created a militarized police force instead and prompted citizens to riot as their rights were repeatedly violated.” Now Ice Cube and his partner Jeff Kwatinetz, are going to shoot a movie named “Excessive Force” in the Cleveland Police Department.

Our story is different and our cops are actually government agents who are not perfect, but they try to be. Yet our story does deal with excessive force. Has Ice Cube ever spent in time in Cleveland? His writing partner is a Havard lawyer. Have they ever talked to to the real Cleveland Police? We have. The majority are good people doing a very difficult job.

I doubt his movie will be fair and balanced, but hey that’s Hollywood.

Prelude2Cinema is interested to see if they shoot in Cleveland and if any similiarities exist in the stories.
